It's 1973 and I am filling out my fall schedule, looking for art electives. I am dating this beautiful Irish girl, who suggests I should take Photography, because she took it in high school and it "was a lot of fun." I did... and it was. I ended up taking every photography related class at the college. I married that girl in 1975, because I think, when someone gives you life-changing advice and it works out, you should keep them in your life. Five decades later, she is still giving me great advice. In mildly ironic twist, at the start of my teaching career, I replaced her teacher, the one who had made photography “a lot of fun… “
