Artist’s Statement:

This work captures a moment of quiet tension just as it begins to shift. The stark, mirrored trees form a luminous, almost cathedral-like structure—rigid, symmetrical, and still. Crows line its branches as guardians, carrying the weight of tradition and the clarity of transformation. In many traditions, they are guides through change, protectors of wisdom not easily seen.  The cow is intriguing, dark, mysterious... a messenger of wisdom and prophesy.  In most cultures, a gathering of ravens foretold of momentous events.   As the eye moves upward, the birds begin to lift, dispersing into the open sky. This transition—from clustering to flight—suggests release, awakening, or transformation. The crows act as both disruption and catalyst, breaking the frozen symmetry with motion and intention. The image becomes a meditation on emergence: how stillness holds energy, and how that energy eventually finds its way into motion.
