Artist’s Statement:

There are conversations that never quite arrive in words. They hover instead. The chords suggest what could be said, how easily emotion might resolve if only given voice. The rose leans in—soft, luminous, uncertain...hoping.  Both sense something more, yet circle it quietly, carefully.

The yellow bloom becomes a stand-in for unspoken affection: warm, present, undeniable, but not yet spoken. What is missing is not feeling, but courage, in the slience betwen chords stretched longer than intended, and a glance held a second too long.

This work lives in that delicate in-between—where friendship brushes against something more, and both shyly hear the melody, but hope that the other speaks first...
