Churches are ubiquitous in rural Ireland—each village, no matter how small, gathers itself around one. They are tributes to devotion, raised stone by stone through faith, labor, and shared purpose. Their spires rise above hedgerows and fields, marking waypoints in the landscape—beacons that guide both traveler and resident alike.

In this piece, the church stands as an island of sanctuary above the village of Dingle, watchingover the fishing port below and the countryside above. Its tower, firm and deliberate, contrasts with the soft drift of cloud and mountain beyond, holding a space that feels both grounded and removed. These structures are not only places of worship, but places of pause—where the past cradles the present, and the rhythm of daily life slows, if only for a moment.
