Artist’s Statement:

Freed from gravity, the branches no longer belong to earth or sky. They drift within a suspended field where orientation loses its authority—no above, no below, only the persistence of pattern and light. What once rooted these forms is no longer visible; what remains is their structure, repeated and reflected until it becomes something almost unrecognizable.

In this space, the image shifts away from subject and toward perception. The mind searches instinctively for grounding, for a horizon to settle upon, but finds none. Instead, it begins to read differently—to follow lines, to trace symmetry, to experience the image as a field rather than a place.

The work asks a subtle question: how much of what we see is determined by expectation? With a slight reorientation, the familiar dissolves and reassembles, revealing something both new and deeply inherent. What appears abstract is, in truth, entirely known—simply seen without its usual constraints.
